Is this how you look when you're trying to get through to someone else? Worse yet, is this how someone looks when they're trying to get through to you?
We have this misconception that because we "can" communicate, we actually "are" communicating. However, communication (and even more so effective listening) requires great skill to master.
I love what George Bernard Shaw says about communication. He writes, "The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has actually occurred."
Yesterday we hosted a webinar called "How to Become an Effective Listener." We discussed the importance of effective and mindful communication -- and we offered some immediately implementable strategies for better listening.
We had a great discussion -- and just in case you weren't on the call, I wanted to provide you with a link to check it out. If you click HERE, you'll be able to listen to our entire discussion -- and hopefully, add to your effective listening skills toolbox.
The recording will only be up for a few days.
I love that we get to add value each month to people just like you.
