To have a healthy body, you need a proper amount of rest, exercise, diet, and activity. Conversely, an abundance (or a lack) of these essential components can counteract your health.

Just as you tone your muscles through the resistance that comes through weight training, you grow your mind by being challenged by reading the ideas, thoughts, and concepts found in books.

As you read, your mind stretches and expands to new proportions. Your understanding grows along with your creative ability to contribute your thoughts to these new ideas.

And just as your muscles grow through consistent reps of training weights, science tells us that reading can make you smarter, give you better memories and even help you live longer.

That sure sounds good to me.

Have you read a good book lately?
