Parents are known for offering pithy pointers to their kids. -- and if you're like me, then you can easily finish these classic examples of parent-isms:

• When life gives you lemons…(make lemonade)

• Stop crying or I'll give you something…(to cry about)

• You catch more flies with honey…(than vinegar)
