I love this quote from Hal Elrod: "Always remember that where you are is a result of who you were, but where you go depends entirely on who you choose to be from this moment on."
You and I have had bad things happen to us. Undoubtedly, you've seen failure, struggle, and challenges that shape who you are right now. Some of those things you had no control over. And, some you've caused yourself.
And the struggle (or fear) that often accompanies these bad things -- is that they will define your life.
I have good news for you today.
What has happened TO you does not have to DEFINE you.
Your worst moments and greatest letdowns don't determine who you will be -- because within YOU lies the power to choose. You can change. You can do things differently.
You have both the freedom and the power to choose what will define you from this point forward.
If choices can get you into a situation, choices can also get you out. Your choices are key.
John Maxwell has famously said, "Problems are not my problem. It's not what happens to me but what happens in me that matters."
Every bad experience has a lesson to be leveraged, for strength comes from struggle -- and failure is never final.
Let today's choices shape a better tomorrow.
Who will you choose to be from this moment on? The choice is yours.
