How to build a more positive work environment💡

Statistically speaking, the average employed person spends 8.10 hours per day on the job.

That’s 2,106 hours per year – and in other words, a really long time to be in a work environment.

Knowing this, how do you feel when you walk into your office?

  • Are you excited about the day?

  • Are you anxious or nervous about what will take place?

  • Are you looking forward to who you’ll connect with?

  • Are you keeping your head down so your coworkers don’t notice you’re there?

These feelings point to the emotional climate of your workplace.

Some workplaces are negative (frustrating, anxiety-ridden, toxic, and phony).

And others are positive (joyful, encouraging, healthy, authentic, etc.)

And to truly thrive at work requires building a positive emotional climate.

In Boundaries for Leaders, Dr. Henry Cloud suggests that “Our brains need positive relationship(s) to grow and function well.”

And the good news is, no matter the current emotional climate of your workplace, you have the power to improve it.

You do this by building positive relationships.

If your workplace can use an emotional climate tune-up, I made this video to help you.
